    Tips & considerations

Try using a mix of salt and garlic salt when seasoning your hash browns. Potatoes and garlic always go well together so this addition will make your hash browns even tastier.

You can try using avocado oil instead of olive oil for a slightly different taste.

Although both olive oil and avocado oil are healthy oils, avocado is the new winner with its outstanding nutritional profile. It has a pretty neutral taste, so if olive oil isn't your favourite, this is a good alternative.

You could also use another oil or fat, like coconut oil or melted butter, just don't add too much.

Try adding some diced onions and bell peppers to the mix, for a take on classic home fries.

If you really want to limit the calories and fat, you can skip the oil altogether. It may result in crispier hash browns, but it also makes this air fryer hash brown recipe even simpler!

If you own a spiralizer, you can make your hash browns even more fun. Cut your potatoes into noodle-like ribbons and cook as normal.

Kids, in particular, might find this to be a fun way to eat hash browns. This also results in hash browns that look very chic and the kind of thing a gourmet chef would whip up.
